The OPHS library staff seeks to provide a wide selection

of print and online resources to enrich and support the

curriculum. Students’ academic needs and interests are

   our primary consideration.

Policies

Circulation Policies  ***

Some form of identification is required to check out materials.  Students may have three items checked out at one time.  Most books are checked out for a period of three weeks and may be renewed.

Research books check out OVERNIGHT ONLY and must be returned by 7:15 a.m. each morning.

Reference books may not be checked out. A coin-operated photocopier (copies are .10 per page) is located in the library for student use.

Students with overdue materials may not check out additional items. Overdue notices will be distributed through homeroom. Bills are sent for materials that are still overdue at the end of each grading period.

All materials checked out in a student's name are the responsibility of that student.  Do not check out items for other students in your name.

Feed the World

Is the SAT in your future? Do you want to help feed the hungry?

Spend some time over at www.freerice.com where you can test your vocabulary skills and donate rice to those in need in the world. The website will rate your skill level as you progress through difficult words. For every word you get right, you earn 20 grains of rice in your bowl. When you reach 100 grains, you earn a bowl of rice to help end world hunger! How high of a score can you get? How many bowls of rice can you give?
